Amy Goes to Boston is a web site that has been established by The Amy Lincoln Bone Marrow Transplant Awareness Fund to provide a resource for patients traveling into Boston’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center for care. It could also be useful to anyone receiving care in the Longwood area.
If you are being treated in Springfield - please click the links above for Baystate Medical Center, the D'Amour Center and the Breast Center.

Amy was diagnosed with leukemia in 2001 and “went to Boston” for her bone marrow transplant. During her stays, she and her transplant buddies exchanged information on what to bring along, where to eat, where to stay, the mysteries of the Shapiro Garage, gossip, or just how to have fun in Boston. Amy was very much her own person and we hope this web site will reflect her gift of touching those she came in contact with.

The site has no affiliation with any institution or organization. It belongs to those of you who wish to share your hints and experiences. You can contact us at info@amygoestoboston.com.

We wish to give a special nod to the transplant buddies – Rance Taylor, Andre Felix, Christine Proctor, and Pat Spielvogel. Thank you, dear friends.

And a special thanks to Richard Steingart, MD; Marlene Quinlan, LICSW; Jenn and Michael Fallon; George Pennington, DD; and Kathy Mosellen in the West and in the East, Kenneth Miller, MD.

This website made possible thru friends of The Amy Lincoln Bone Transplant Fund, c/o of PeoplesBank, 783 Williams St., Longmeadow, Mass. 01106
