Get Away for Lunch
We found that we just had to get out of the hospital. We liked to go for lunch. We would go after the “get lunch rush” crowd and feel like we had an outing.
Some of our favorites - (you can add yours):
Russ’s Luncheonette (right turn out
of parking lot) – just past the 7/11 on Springfield St. (.6 of a mile) – open
seven days for breakfast and lunch. Mon. – Sat 5:30 ‘til 2:00 – Sun 5:30 ‘til 1:00.

For the following restaurants, take a left
out of the parking lot, Springfield St. becomes Chestnut St. – go to
Jefferson Ave. – you have to make a right turn – go two blocks to a traffic
light at Main St. – take a left – you are going south on Main St. – the
street numbers descend. There is a McDonald's on the right about 1/4 of a
mile. As you go south on Main St. you will pass the bus station at the
intersection of Liberty St. - there is a railroad overpass after the bus
station called "the arch".
Sitar Restaurant (Indian/American) 1688 Main
St. - it's on the right on Main St. right after the arch.

The Student Prince/ Fort Restaurant
(German/American) – 8 Fort St. Springfield.
Fort St. is the second right after the arch. Go after 2:30 - wonderful
lunches.
